ST LUCIAN Zephrinus Joseph and Vincentian Pamenos Ballantyne will lead a top-quality field of competitors in the third annual CARICOM 10-Kilometre Run which starts and finishes in Bay Street, St Michael, this morning.
The race, which is being held by the CARICOM Secretariat, in conjunction with the National Sports Council and the Amateur Athletics Association, starts at 7:30 a.m., and will run along the traditional Run Barbados route.
First prize is US$1 200; second US$900, third US$700, and fourth US$400. There are also consolation prizes of US$300 and US$200 for fifth and sixth positions, as well as incentives for primaryand secondary school competitors.

Men – Zephrinus Joseph (St Lucia), Gary Gumbs, Jerome Gumbs (Anguilla), Pamenos Ballantyne (St Vincent and the Grenadines), and David Craigwell (Barabdos).
Women – Kenisha Pascal, Antonio Wilson (Grenada), Janica Richardson (Anguilla), Amanda Maximilien (Barbados) and Millicent Maximilien (Barbados).
