However, under a brightly lit blue sky on the lush green grass, the new look Lions sporting an orange uniform showed up for business. From the kickoff, midfield generals Kappel Assent ,Tyrone Sunkous Benjamin and Girdon "Shamshaker" Benjamin displayed a level of skill and communication reminiscent of the Lions of old.
Both teams played well but the relentless attacks of the Lions soon weakened the once formidable defense of Kicks United. The first half ended in a stalemate with both teams scoreless. It wasn't until midway through the second half, that the tall, lanky Tyrone Benjamin blasted a long range strike that left Kicks United Keeper pondering what happened, as the ball reached the back of the net.
Realizing there was no tomorrow Kicks United threw everything they had at the Lions. However the Lions, with the defense led by Nigel "Niko"Connor and Collin "Culture" Johnson, were determined not to let sweet revenge slip away.
The match culminated with the Lions leaving the Den with 1-0 victory.
