The J.W. Proctor track classic will be here on Saturday 9th February 2008 at the Ronald Webster Park. Teams from Tortola and St. Maarten will also be participating in this track event as they look to get their athletes prepared for the Carifta games scheduled for St. Kitts in late March. Anguilla’s athletes have been working hard under the close supervision of Mrs. Wilma Proctor, Mr. Trevor Davis and several other coaches. Athletes and the general public should come to see include High Jump Queen Shinelle Proctor, middle distance sensations De Ann Rogers and Jonicia Richardson. Long jumpers Joseph “T.J” Pembleton and Denville Ruan are also two names that are noteworthy as they try to solidify their Carifta positions.
It’s hard to determine who will dominate the track classic as they are many unmentioned variables that could alter the final results. However the answer to this and all other track related questions will be answered on Saturday 9th at 10:00am on the Ronald Webster Park.
