Not even a lunar eclipse could have denied the ALHCS Spartans their victory over Full Monty, on Saturday. In an evenly contested match both teams fought tooth and nail to secure the victory in the knock out football championship. The persistence of the Spartans resulted in two beautiful goals, one coming from Kelbert Walters and the other from Desroy Finley. The Spartans efforts took them one step closer to the ultimate prize of winning the Knock out championship, while Full Monty must go home and ponder about the error of their ways.

On Sunday league champions Kicks United played against Spartans international in what can only be described as a goal fest. Scores were tied at three goals each at the end of regulation time, which precipitated in a ten-minute addition of the game. The goalkeeper for Kicks United soon fell apart from the immense pressure from his opponents. His fundamental mistakes such as ducking from an in swinging corner kick and poor judgment on a one on one challenge left his team on the canvas. The small but appreciative crowd that gathered to enjoy the game saw a disheartened manager, Mr. Watley grimaced in discontent as his team threw away a chance at a double championship. One can say that the champion’s bubble of confidence has been burst by the reality of a loss.
