The finals of the Anguilla Female Foot League (AFFL) came to a climactic conclusion as fans were left gasping for breathe during the Gazelles, Lil Soldiers encounter. General Colin Liddy of the Lil Soldiers laid out the game plan for his troops to attack straight down the middle. The plan seemed to be working to perfection as Melisa Anderson blasted in the first goal early in the first half. Down but not out, the Gazelles lead a formidable counterattack to limit the goal scoring. Wonder twin, Kristie Webster played like a person possessed as she tried shooting from every angle to level the scores for Gazelles. As faith would have it the Gazelles would not score during the first half.

The second half was dominated by good build-ups and several missed opportunities. Audra Rogers of the Gazelles concluded the goal search by sending a right-footed bomb from within the 6-yard box. Both teams then worked frantically to seize the advantage but it was not to be. In the first half of overtime the Gazelles continued the high-energy offense and it brought forth fruit. Judianne Vanterpool who placed like a yeoman sent home the winning goal. Immediately, the Lil Soliders were on red alert trying to send any and every one forward. Though several near misses came for the Lil Soliders, Gazelles won the match 2:1

Congratulations are extended to the Gazelles football club and coach Cleo for winning the Knock-Out-Cup.
