MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica - Virgil Browne, the Leeward Islands left arm spinner has joined the West Indies Team Operations Unit as a masseur.
Team physiotherapist Stephen Partridge requested that Browne, a massage therapist, be seconded to the West Indies World Cup squad.
The 32 year old Browne, who played 6 first class matches, has joined the squad in Montego Bay and will remain with the squad for the duration of the World Cup.
“I met Virgil during the 20/20 Tournament while he was playing for Nevis and I was impressed with him and requested that he be seconded to us,” Partridge said.
