On Sunday evening the Webster park hard court came to life as a raucous, bipartisan crowd gathered to support the netball matches. In the first game ST. Kitts played Anguilla in a physical and tense encounter. Both teams traded goals like heavy weight boxers trading punches. In the first three quarters a single point separated both teams.
However the Anguillian and Kittitian fans willed their teams on when they became tired and bruised. Sharp shooter Lakesha Proctor was clinical in the first three quarters with her shooting. Her antithesis Desiree Henis was just as accurate as she dropped everything in the goal. Desiree scored a total of 31 out of 40 goals for her team while Proctor dropped in a total of 25 out of 36 goals for team Anguilla.
The match was won by St. Kitts by a score of 40-36.
The games continue during the week and this weekend at the Webster Park at 6:00pm.
