The Sunday Matinee witnessed a rather physical encounter between Kicks United and the Sunset Attackers. The Attackers opened their account in the third minute after Addi John (#3) headed home a cross from Omawalty Iwarner (#5). As the first half continued the game deteriorated into a very physical encounter. However the Attackers did not renege on their ever increasing pressure, their advances seemed to be so frequent that Kicks forwards assisted the defense.Like sharks smelling blood the Attackers continued to press home their advantage. Early in the second half Melvin Angel (# 14) scored with a shot to goal. Kicks United were now on the ropes taking debilitating body blows. As both teams engaged in tic for tac rough plays a member of Kicks United was red carded for a very dangerous tackle. Despite this the Attackers seemed intent on scoring yet another goal. Returning from knee surgery Ian Edwards aka “Sugar George” (#11) scored the third goal which seemed the final nail in the coffin of Kicks United. With the game now in hand Addi John (#3) scored his second goal of the match and the fourth goal for Attackers.
The match culminated with a four nil destruction of Kicks United.
