In the season for giving and receiving, the Roaring Lions gave the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School Spartans an early Christmas gift. No sooner the game started the Lions opened up their account with a left foot missile from about forty yards from the goal from Chad Meldrum (#17). Midfield guru Gordon Benjamin (#21) continued applying pressure by hammering home the 2nd and 3rd goal for the Roaring Lions. Consequently the Spartans were in total disarray. Lions’ enforcer Chad Meldrum was not finished with scoring goals as he pounded home the fourth goal.
The goal fest continued as Gordon Benjamin (#21) blasted home a shot from within the 18-yard box, putting the Lions ahead by yet another goal. Kappel Assent (# 23) soon added to the woes of the Spartans as he sent a low lying instep drive between the legs of his opponents beating the out of place goal keeper.
As the second half got on the way the Roaring Lions applied even more pressure as Kappel Assent blasted home four more goals, sending his tally to 5 goals for the match. Hard working Jaden Abbot (# 5) who was guilty of throwing away several goals made amends by converting one goal. The constant and immense pressure given by the Roaring soon caused the Spartans to give up an own goal. The massacre ended with the Roaring Lions emerging victorious with a score line of 12:0
