PHILIPSBURG (The Daily Herald) - Calyde Hughes and Katie Hawkins, both from Anguilla, dominated the courts at Raoul Illidge Sports Complex during the sixth annual Oyster Bay Youth Interscholastic Tennis Tournament. The three day tournament was served up Friday evening as 25 athletes from Anguilla and 32 from St. Maarten competed in fi ve divisions of play. Hughes won the boys Open class. He faced Claudio Mercedes of St. Maarten. Hawkins won the girls open. She bested Belkis Pisas of St. Maarten. Xavier Mercelina defeated Rogier Morson 6-2 in the boys under 15 class. Daniel Andrews bested Keon Halley by the same score in the boys under 13 division. Angelique Lauren shot past Nina Andrews 4-1 in the girls 13 and under group. Leshawn Brown took top honors in the boys under 10 division. He beat Jacob Parkes 3-0. Mikiah Harrigan got past McKenzie McKnight 3-2 in the girls under 10 group. Edwin de Weer won the boys beginners 3-2. He bested Antoine Laurent. Mikiaya Harrigan topped the girls beginner division. Belkis Pisas of St. Maarten reached the fi nals in the girls open class of the sixth annual Oyster Bay - Youth Interscholastic Tennis Tournament at Raoul Illidge Sports Complex S
