The challenge laid down by Valley Primary school during the road race,  was answered on Thursday 29^th March during the annual primary school sports day.  The morning was dotted by overcast skies which soon dissipated to a bright sun shiny day.  Valley school liked their chances of being crowned champions once again but they were startled by the resistance provided by the other schools. 

J.  Richardson of Stoney Ground Primary was adjudged the most valuable female athlete with a score of 34 points.  She stormed to victory in the 1500, 800, 400,    4 x 400m relay and girls road race.  The Carifta bound athlete said she was determined to help her school to victory by setting a pace that would make them opponents quit.  Eliban Valera was adjudged the most valuable male athlete, with a total of 32 points.  He too showed determination by competing in almost every event.  Though Eliban was plagued by leg cramps during the lunch interval, his mental fortitude helped him overcome the many challenges he faced.  Special mention must be made of Renee Fleming of Morris VanterpoolPrimary school.  This young lady blew away her competition in the senior girls 100 and 200m event, leaving the other girls to fight for second and third place.
